Kumaryasavam is an Ayurvedic liquid medicine used in the treatment of gastritis, urinary tract disorders etc. Kumaryasavam contains 5 – 10 % of self generated alcohol in it. Kumari means Aloe vera

Kumaryasava Dose: 12 – 24 ml. one or two times a day, usually advised after food. If needed, it can be mixed with equal quantity of water.
Kumaryasava uses: Kumaryasav is used in the treatment of abdominal distention, bloating, respiratory conditions like cough, cold, wheezing, piles, vataroga and certain neurological conditions.
Classical indications of Kumaryasavm:
- Bala, Varna, Agni Deepana – improves strength, skin complexion and digestion power.
- Bruhmana – It provides nourishment to the body. Useful in weight gain treatment
- Rochana – improves taste, useful in anorexia
- Vrushya – acts as aphrodisiac
- Paktishoola nivarana – useful in relieving abdominal pain due to gastritis and digestive tract disorders
- Udara roga – ascites, constipation
- Ugra Kshaya – chronic tuberculosis or severe emaciation
- Meha – urinary tract disorders, diabetes
- Udavarta – bloating
- Apasmara – epilepsy
- Mutrakruchra – dysuria– difficulty in micturation.
- Apasmruti – improve memory
- Shukradosha – sperm disorders
- Ashmari – urinary calculi (stones)
- Krimi – intestinal worm infestation
- Raktapitta – bleeding disorders
