Aravindasavam is an Ayurvedic medicine used in children to improve digestion and metabolism. Igt improves the immmunity. It is also used as a general tonic for all childhood complaints. 

Reference: Bhaishajya ratnavali, Balaroga context 185 – 189

Aravindasavam uses: 

  • Aravindasavam is used children’s problems like loss of appetite,
  • Low body weight, lack of strength.
  • It is also used in treating Grahadoshas – psychological problems of children

Agnim¡ndya (Digestive impairment), Karsya (Emaciation), Balakshaya (Loss of strength / immunity), Sarva B¡laroga (All types of Pediatric conditions), Graha Dosha (Psychosis)

Ingredient:

  1. Aravinda (lotus – Nelumbo nucifera) – Flower – 48 g
  2. Usheera (Vetivera zizanioides) – Root – 48 g
  3. Kashmari (Gmelina arborea) – Fruit – 48 g
  4. Utpala (Nymphaea stellata) – Flower – 48 g
  5. Manjishta (Rubia cordifolia) – Root – 48 g
  6. Bala (Sida cordifolia) – Root – 48 g
  7. Jatamansi (Nardostachys jatamansi) – Rhizome – 48 g
  8. Ela – Cardamom – Seed – 48 g
  9. Ambuda – Musta (Cyperus rotundus) – Rhizome – 48 g
  10. Sariva (Hemidesmus indicus) – Root – 48 g
  11. Shiva – Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) – Fruit – 48 g
  12. Vibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica) – Fruit rind – 48 g
  13. Vacha (Acorus calamus) – Rhizome – 48 g
  14. Amalaki – Amla – Fruit – 48 g
  15. Shati (Hedychium spicatum) – Rhizome – 48 g
  16. Shyama – Trivrit (Ipomoea turpethum) – Root – 48 g
  17. Neelini – Indigofera tinctoria – Root – 48 g
  18. Patola (Trichosanthes dioica) – Leaf / Plant – 48 g
  19. Parpata (Fumaria parviflora) – Whole plant – 48 g
  20. Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna) – Stem Bark – 48 g
  21. Madhuka (Madhuca indica) – Flower – 48 g
  22. Yashti madhu (Licorice) – Root – 48 g
  23. Mura (Selinium tenuifolium) – Root – 48 g
  24. Draksha – Dry Grapes– Fruit – 960 g 
  25. Dhataki (Woodfordia fruticosa) – Flower – 768 g
  26. Water – 24.576 liters
  27. Sugar – 4.8 kg
  28. Honey – 2.4 kg

Arvindasav Ayurveda dose: 3 – 12 ml once or twice a day, after food with equal quantity of water or as directed by Ayurvedic expert.
