Ayurveda treatment for Female Sterility and infertility

THE UNION of sperm and ovum and their implantation in the wall of the uterus leads to the development or the foetus. For the proper development of a foetus, proper nourishment should be provided through the mother, and the mother should be free from diseases during the period of conception and gestation. Sterility in females is, therefore, a result of either the impairment of the ovary, uterus, fallopian tubes or hormones controlling the functions of these organs as well as disease of the would-be mother.

Defects in the genital organs may be structural (organic) or functional. To correct organic defects surgical measures have to be taken. Functional defects of these organs can be successfully treated by Ayurvedic medicines. The condition is called vandhyatva in Ayurveda, and generally, this is. caused by the simultaneous aggravation of all the three doshas.

Treatment:

Phala ghrita is very effective in the treatment of this condition. It is given to the patient in a dose of two teaspoonfuls twice daily on the empty stomach, mixed with milk. Vanga bhasma is the medicine of choice for the treatment of this condition. It is given to the patient in a dose of two grains twice daily, mixed with honey. Silajit is one of the most effective drugs for the cure of sterility. It is given to the patient in a dose of one teaspoonful twice daily.

Bala is used both locally and internally. The root of this plant is boiled in oil and milk. It is used with lukewarm water as a douche. This brings about a change in the mucous membrane of the genital tract which aids the effective combination of ovum and sperm in the uterus. This medicated oil is also used internally in a dose of one teaspoonful in the morning with a cup of milk.

Sreepathy Ayurveda Clinic provide very specific and individualized treatment for female sterility and infertility.

Generally after naadipareeksha and other examination we give treatment to both male and female to get a good progeny.  Treatments along with vedic astrological analysis and remedial measures  gives a better result in this.

Diet:

Alkaline and pungent foods should not be taken by persons suffering from sterility. They should be given fruits and sweet things in large quantities.

Other regimens:

Excessive fat often results in sterility. In such cases weight should be reduced by regulation of diet and through exercise.
