Dhanwanthararishtam-Dashamoola-Bilva – Aegle marmelos

Dhanwanthararishtam is an Ayurvedic medicine mainly used in post natal care of the mother.

Dhanwanthararishtam uses: It is used in low digestion power, vata vitiation, Gulma, Gas abdomen,   low back ache fever, hernia, gulma, strained micturition etc.. It is a  good uterine tonic and  is very useful in post natal care of the mother.

It is used in other conditions of vata disorders like  hemiplegia, facial paralysis, opisthotonos (bahyayamam) and emprothotonos (antarayamam) .

Dhanwanthararistam dose: 12 – 24 ml after food. once or two times a day, or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.

  1. Dashamoola –
  2. Bilva – Aegle marmelos
  3. Agnimantha – Premna mucronata
  4. Shyonaka – Oroxylum indicum
  5. Gambhari – Gmelina arborea
  6. Patala – Stereospermum suaveolens
  7. Shalaparni – Desmodium gangeticum
  8. Prinshnaparni – Urarica picta
  9. Gokshura – Tribulus terrestris
  10. Brihati – Solanum indicum
  11. Kantakari – Solanum xanthocarpum
  12. Badara – Zyziphus jujuba
  13. Kulattha – Dolichos biflorus
  14. Bala – Sida cordifolia
  15. Kushta – Saussurea lappa
  16. Devadaru – Cedrus deodara
  17. Vidari – Ipomoea mouritiana
  18. Tagara – Valeriana jatamansi
  19. Triphala – Haritaki, Vibhitaki, Amalaki
  20. Shatapushpa – Anethum graveolens
  21. Mudgaparni – Vigna radiata
  22. Mashaparni – Vigna pilosa
  23. Methika – Trigonella foenum graceum
  24. Yahstimadhu – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra
  25. Sariva – Hemidesmus indicus
    Agaru – Aquilaria agallocha
  26. Twak – Cinnamomum zeylanicum
  27. Ela – Elettaria cardamomum
  28. Punarnava – Boerhaavia diffusa
  29. Sharkara – Saccharum officinarum
  30. Pippali – Piper longum
  31. Nagakeshara – Mesua ferrea
  32. Ela – Ellettaria cardamomum
  33. Maricha – Piper nigrum
  34. Chandrashoora – Lepidium sativum
  35. Krushnajeeraka – Nigella sativa
  36. Takkola – Illicium verum
  37. Shatapushpa – Anethum graveolens
  38. Chavya – Piper cubeba
  39. Jathi – Myristica fragrans
  40. Shilajit
  41. Dhataki – Woodfordia fruiticosa
